INTERNSHIP POSITIONS

JIC is offering various internship positions in its different departments.

Note: Below are rough descriptions of the positions available as indication. Exact projects and tasks might be adapted according to skills and interests. We also expect our interns to always support the other team members / departments whenever necessary. Also, the intern will be required to facilitate some training / workshops no matter the position.

MARKETING DEPARTMENT

Marketing B2C
(1-2 positions starting from July)

– Coordination of online and offline communication
– Creation and/or update promotion materials, such as flyers, posters and learning voucher (in coordination with Learning Center team)
– Strengthening of our social media marketing (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), including daily posting
– Support the Learning Center team for the organization and promotion of events (workshops, etc.)
– Engage on a regular basis to brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing measures

Marketing B2B
(1 position available immediately)

– Improvement / creation of appealing sales tools for B2B (brochure, website, etc.)
– Work closely with Business Development team to provide adapted materials
– Management of projects with Business Development team

Webmarketing & Community Management
(1 position available immediately)

– Maintenance and improvement of our main website and other microsites
– Strengthening of our social media marketing (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), including daily posting
– Animation of online community
– In charge of the e-newsletters (general and segmented)

Public Relations
(1 position available immediately)

– Creation / development of the contact with journalists and other opinion leaders
– Writing of press releases and articles
– Search of partners for banners’ exchange
– Search and participation to networking events

Creative design
(1 position available from June/July)

– Video edition
– Animation (animated logo, flying bumper, etc.)
– Creation of visuals for online (e.g. website, FB) and offline (e.g. pamphlets, posters) purposes
– DTP (desktop publishing)

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Sales & Customer Care
(2-3 positions available immediately)

For this position, a native or business level of Japanese and intermediate level of English is preferred.

– Development of our existing client portfolio
– Support of the Business Development team at the different steps of the sales process, including contacting prospects, submitting offer, follow-up correspondence, delivery
– Maintenance of CRM database (insightly)
– Collaboration with Marketing team for improving sales tools
– Translation (mainly from English to Japanese) of proposals, materials and marketing/sales tools

LEARNING CENTER MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

Event Coordination
(1-2 positions available immediately)

– Organization of events (classes, workshops, forums, etc.), including management of the schedule and coordination with partners (instructors, guest-speakers)
– Participants’ follow-up (registration, satisfaction surveys, etc.)
– Promotion of our Learning Center and development of our existing participants’ portfolio
– Update of our CRM database (Insightly)
– Creation/Improvement of materials such as text books
– Support of our business research activity

E-learning Project
(1 position available from July)

– Definition of the strategy with Direction and Learning Center team
– Development of content (courses offer, functionalities, etc.)
– Video edition
– Collaboration with Marketing team for promotion

ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT

Human Resources
(1 position available immediately)

– Creation and implementation of processes and documentation to support the steady growth of our company (internal wiki, onboarding kit, etc.)
– Support the hiring process of new interns
– Creation and animation of Volunteer and Time-Bankers Communities
– Support training program design at Fortune 500 company client

IT
(1-2 positions available immediately)

– Maintenance/Improvement of our IT tools (e.g. compatibility), including Insightly (CRM database), MailChimp (E-Mail broadcasting), BaseCamp (project management) etc.
– Maintenance/Development of company Website (WordPress and also Learning Management System) for example by implementing additional features such as online payment, forums of discussion for members, etc.
– Creation of e-learning applications
– Support company staff with their IT related issues (e.g. creating accounts for new staff, programs’ updates, etc.)

Specific requirements for the IT position:

> Skilled in programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Jquery.
> Familiar with databases (MySQL etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

– Japanese is a plus, any level OK
– Candidates must be open-minded and able to work in a multicultural environment
– Flexibility and ability to work in autonomy and in team
– Strong organizational skills and ability to work on different projects simultaneously
– Excellent critical thinking / problem solving skills
– Ready to make propositions and take the initiative
– Willing to come and stay in Japan
– Positions are meant full-time for at least 3 months (ideally 6 months) but this is negotiable

– Collaboration with marketing team for improving sales tools.
– Translation (mainly from English to Japanese) of proposals, materials and marketing

Conditions:

Trial period up to 3 months as intern / freelancer (no fix salary, payment based on commission and/or project achievement).
